We completed a large kitchen renovation at the end of 2022 in collaboration with Aidan Design and want to show you the finished project. The main goals of this project were:
-
Open the kitchen to the family room.
-
Update the look of the kitchen using a combination of white and gray-green cabinetry, thin glass chevron backsplash tiles, subtle quartz counters, a warm and inviting breakfast area and great fabrics. See our Instagram page for a view of all the kitchen fabrics and finishes – https://www.instagram.com/p/CaPl3aCumn6/
-
Create a user-friendly floorplan.
Here are the pictures! Photography by John Cole Photography.
The kitchen island includes comfortable seating for three while the breakfast area provides sophisticated dining for six.
The warm-white cabinets, quartz counter and chevron glass backsplash tile provide warmth to the kitchen by relying on texture and pattern while keeping the palette monochromatic. Polished nickel accessories provide contrast.
The breakfast area includes a custom-made table and rug and seating for six. The coffee station includes a small bar sink and plenty of storage. Opposite is even more storage and a small TV. The Roman valances hide Silhouette shades if privacy is needed.
A view of the kitchen from the dining room. The dining room includes additional hand-painted storage and glass cabinetry to show off prized pieces.
Just outside the kitchen is a large pantry with upper and lower cabinetry. The upper cabinetry doors have polished nickel grilles over decorative mesh for a dressed up look. See how the cabinetry contrasts beautifully with the dark hardwood floors. A partial view of the TV cabinetry is off to the upper right of the picture.
